YR4 Kingfisher Class News @FP
Mon 10 Nov 2025Welcome back, Kingfishers @FP! After two weeks off, it’s lovely to see everyone back, refreshed and ready for another exciting half term. We have six busy weeks ahead before the next break, filled with lots of learning — and plenty of festive fun to look forward to!
We’ve been focusing on following our class rules and becoming more independent in our learning. The children are already showing great effort and maturity as they settle back into routines.
In maths, we’re working hard on our times tables. This is such an important skill, and we’d really appreciate your support in practising at home — a few minutes each day can make a big difference!
Our PE lessons have been extra fun as we’ve started cricket with our coach, Dan. The children are learning new techniques and working brilliantly as a team.
In English, we’re continuing to focus on developing our writing, using exciting vocabulary and improving the flow of our sentences. In History, we’re still exploring the fascinating world of the Vikings, while in Geography, we’re learning more about the River Thames and its importance to London.
There’s already a buzz of excitement in the air as we begin to think about all the Christmas activities coming up — it’s sure to be a wonderful end to our term together!

YR6 Eagle Class News @FP
Fri 17 Oct 2025Year 6 Eagle class @FP
Last week, we were delighted to welcome Rev. Nick to our whole-school Harvest Assembly. He spoke to the children about kindness, generosity, and gratitude — reminding us all how much we have to be thankful for in the beautiful world we live in.
Our pupils reflected thoughtfully on the journey of food from farm to plate — even something as simple as a bag of pasta — and how many hands help along the way before it reaches our tables.
A heartfelt thank you to all our families for your wonderful donations and continued support. Your generosity helps us share kindness with others and truly brings the spirit of Harvest to life in our school community.

YR3 Pelican Class News @FP
Tue 14 Oct 2025Year 3 Pelican @FP have been digging deeper into the Stone Age and discovering fascinating facts about life thousands of years ago!
We became archaeologists for the day and examined replica Stone Age poo to uncover clues about their diet. During the Neolithic period, people began settling in one place and farming the land, so their meals included seeds, berries, fish, and oats.
We also explored how historians learn from Stone Age cave art. Inspired by these ancient artworks, we had a go at creating our own cave paintings to show what life might have been like back then!
