Fri 30 Jan 2026Hawk Class – Anthology of Life Poems
Hawk class @FP has been exploring poetry as a way to reflect on real experiences, emotions, and moments that shape who we are. The result is Anthology of Life, a collection of original poems that capture students’ voices with honesty, creativity, and heart. From joyful memories to thoughtful reflections, each poem offers a glimpse into how our young writers see the world. We’re proud to share their work and celebrate the power of poetry as self-expression. -
Nightingale Class News @FP
Fri 30 Jan 2026The children in the Nest @FP have been working exceptionally hard to follow their new timetables this term. They have shown great determination in developing and using strategies to support their emotional regulation, which has helped them to access their lessons more successfully.
Zoraiz has made fantastic progress in his writing, particularly in understanding the different uses of apostrophes and applying them more consistently. Nylah and Ethan have impressed us with their enthusiasm during a 2-D shape hunt around the classroom, finding an amazing number of objects and demonstrating excellent observational skills.
A special mention goes to Rafael and Kaiden, who are working incredibly hard on TTRockstars as they prepare for the multiplication test later in the year. Their dedication and effort have been wonderful to see. -

Fri 30 Jan 2026On Monday, Hummingbird class @FP enjoyed an interactive story telling workshop that left us with a huge smile on our faces and creativity at our fingertips. Mrs Tuppence from Perform led the session, spinning a story about a toy shop where the toys come alive, with characters, magic keys, and even a huge chocolate cake. The children loved it, and got stuck in joining together to make the story. Thanks, Mrs Tuppence, we are filled to the brim with creative energy now!

YR 6 Eagle class @FP
Wed 28 Jan 2026Year 6 Eagle class @FP this half term in Science, pupils have been exploring the fascinating topic of Light, and their enthusiasm has been shining bright! Children have learned that light travels in straight lines, using this knowledge to explain how light reaches our eyes. Through hands-on experiments with torches, they discovered how shadows are formed when light is blocked and explored how the size of a shadow changes depending on the distance between the object and the light source. A real highlight was creating and comparing shadow puppet shows, which sparked lots of curiosity, scientific questions, and creativity. The children loved working scientifically by planning investigations, recording results, and testing their ideas using different obstacles. This week, learning continues as we explore how periscopes work! Ask your child what they’ve learned and how light helps us see around corners!

Mon 19 Jan 2026This week we’ve been enjoying the story Lost and Found, which inspired us to learn all about Arctic animals and where they live around the world 🌍❄️
We explored colour mixing using cold blue colours, created “lost” posters for the penguin, drew pictures of him, and described what he looks like while carefully looking at colours 🎨✏️We also had lots of fun working together on our Arctic puzzle — it was a big favourite! 🧩💙
Such a lovely week of learning, creativity and teamwork ✨
