Job Description

Forster Park is a successful, highly inclusive Maintained Primary School within Lewisham Local Authority. We have 270 pupils on roll and 14 within our 2 Resource base classes. Our Resource base admission criteria states that children must have an EHCP and have a primary need of ASD diagnosed. The team within our Resource base are highly dedicated and passionate about delivering the best possible provision they can to support the needs of our children.

At Oakbridge Federation, of which Forster Park is one of two primary schools, which make up the Federation, we believe in a child centred approach and ensure that there is the required level of support for our children and families. All aspects of a child's life is developed through their time in our care, as well as their academic achievements.

This is an exciting opportunity that doesn't often come up. Our current Lead teacher who has been amazing, is now leaving to progress in her career. We are looking for an innovative, forward thinking, passionate teacher to lead the team into the next stage of their journey. Our children are amazing and respond well to a nurturing approach with a well organised and creative curriculum. We have high aspirations for all of our children and our resource base children are part of our mainstream classes, through careful timetabling and working to their strengths, which creates successful and confident children and learners.

It is essential that you feel we are the school for you, therefore we welcome visits prior to application.
