Falcon Class @FP – Spooky Story Writing

This week in Falcon Class, we have been developing our creative writing skills by expanding short story phrases into exciting, descriptive sentences. The children have been adding sensory details to help the reader see, hear, smell and feel what is happening, as well as using fronted adverbials to make their writing more interesting and varied.

We have been experimenting with story openings such as “One sunny day…” and “At dawn…”, and turning simple ideas into spooky, atmospheric scenes. Mr Bond has also been helping us to develop our ideas and choose vocabulary that brings our stories to life.

We have had lots of fun creating mysterious settings and building suspense!
