Parakeet Class @FP – Exploring, Investigating and Inventing

This week in Parakeet Class, we have been busy exploring Geography and Science. In Geography, we have been learning all about rivers and the water cycle, discovering how water moves around our planet and why rivers are so important. We have also been enjoying some home-learning activities to support our learning.

In Science, we have been learning all about teeth and how to look after them. The children have been discovering the different types of teeth we have and why they are important, as well as learning about the best ways to keep our teeth healthy and strong.

As part of our learning about inventions, Kristish designed and made a fantastic moveable toy car. His car was powered by air from a balloon — when the balloon was blown up and the air was released, it made the car move! It was wonderful to see Kristish experimenting with his idea and bringing his invention to life.

We are really enjoying our practical learning and having lots of fun investigating, creating and discovering new things together!
