Pelican Class @FP – Developing Our Reading Comprehension Skills

In Pelican Class, we have been busy developing our Year 3 reading comprehension skills. We have been enjoying reading The Worst Witch and answering questions based on the content we have read.

The children have been working hard to find information in the text, think carefully about what they have read and develop their understanding of the characters and events. It has been lovely to see their confidence growing as they practise these important comprehension skills.

The children have also been inspired by the book The Paper Dolls to create their own unique paper doll characters. Through their drawings and writing, they have explored who they are, what makes them special, and why we should be proud of our differences. We have been celebrating the idea that although we are all individuals, we are each an important part of the whole.

We are also delighted with how well everyone has settled into Year 3 and our new class. We are very happy to be continuing our learning journey with Mr Treen and are looking forward to all the exciting learning ahead!
