In English Parakeet Class @FP have been looking at the book ‘Leon and the Place Inbetween’. We have been using expanded noun phrases to describe magical places. We have planned, written and published our own narratives based around the story. We have learnt to use dialogue to move the action in a narrative on and fronted adverbials to improve our writing.

In Art we have been learning about Frida Kahlo and looking at her Art. We looked at common themes within her Art and have begun to create our own masterpieces. We learnt about shading and tone and tried to draw flowers and plants which Frida used in her backgrounds to create our own background for a self-portrait.

In Music we have been learning about ‘The Beatles’ we have appraised and listened to ‘Blackbird’ and begun to play parts of it on the glockenspiels.
