Dove and Duckling Class @FP – A Wild Encounter with Stu the Ranger!

This week, the Dove and Duckling classes had a very exciting visit from Stu the Ranger, who brought along a variety of fascinating animals for us to meet and learn about.

The children were thrilled to get up close with Minton the TortoiseSandra the SnakeTallulah the TarantulaBubbles the Tenrec, and Flaviah the Armadillo. We explored what types of animals they were – reptiles, mammals, and arachnids—and discussed their unique features and habitats.

The children asked brilliant questions and were incredibly curious, making it a fun and educational experience for everyone. A big thank you to Stu the Ranger for such a memorable visit!

The children have also been looking at the story ‘Brown bear Brown bear’ and having a go at writing their own version of the story using various describing words.

Within the last two weeks the children have been looking at finding half of shapes and of amounts by folding paper, cutting shapes and sharing amount equally. We then moved on to finding what a quarter of a shape and amount practically.

We hope you all have a lovely half term.
