This week in Pelican class @FP the half term has got off to a great start. We have been doing lots of exciting learning together.

In reading we have been looking at information texts and focusing on finding key facts. We read a text all about mountains and volcanoes and worked hard to answer all the questions.

We have enjoyed our poetry writing about our favorite object this week. We collected our ideas at the beginning of the week, performed some poems we love. Then we wrote our own poems to read out to the class. Some of us even decided to turn our poems into songs!  

We loved our computing lesson this week and we had a go at programing on the Scratch app. We worked in pairs t program our character to move across our chosen background in different ways.

It has been a fun start and we look forward to the rest of the term ahead!
