Rec Duckling Class @FP
The children in Duckling Class have been busy using their fantastic writing skills to help prepare for their transition to Year 1.
As part of our transition activities, each child wrote a letter to their new teacher. They shared all about themselves, including their favourite lesson in Reception and the subject they feel they are best at. The children worked hard to think about their ideas before writing clear sentences, using their phonics, finger spaces, capital letters and full stops.
These special letters will help their new teachers get to know them before September, making the move to Year 1 feel even more exciting and reassuring. It has been wonderful to see how much confidence and independence the children have developed in their writing throughout the year.
We are incredibly proud of every member of Duckling Class for their hard work and the amazing progress they have made. We know their new teachers will enjoy reading all about them, and we can’t wait to see them continue to shine in Year 1!
Well done, Duckling Class – your writing has been amazing!
