YR6 Eagle and Hawk Class News @FP

The last few weeks at school for Year 6 @FP have been a whirlwind of emotions, excitement, and reflection. As we come to the end of our primary school journey, we’ve been busy finishing off our final pieces of work and putting in all our energy and passion into our production of The Wizard of Oz. We truly hope you enjoyed watching it, because performing it was such a special experience for us – a chance to shine, work as a team, and make unforgettable memories. We also received our SATs results, and we couldn’t be prouder of ourselves and each other. All the hard work, determination, and support from our teachers really paid off, and we’re so thankful.

What a day! Last Friday, our brilliant Year 6 pupils swapped their school shoes for adventure mode as they took on the thrills of Chessington World of Adventures. Yes — it was a scorcher of a day, and yes — the queues were long, but that didn’t stop the laughter, the ice creams, the sweets or the fearless rides (some teachers may or may not still be recovering from the Tiger Rock ride!). The children were buzzing with excitement, making memories that will last well beyond Year 6. Their energy, courage, and joy reminded us just how special this group is — and we know they’ll take that same spirit into secondary school, where they’ll no doubt continue to shine like the stars they are.

More than anything, these last days have been about enjoying time together – laughing, reminiscing, and soaking in every moment with our friends and teachers who have supported us throughout the years. It’s been emotional, knowing we’re about to start a new chapter, but also exciting as we look forward to what’s ahead. To celebrate all we’ve achieved, we’re now looking forward to our end-of-year trip to Chessington on Friday 18th July – a perfect way to end an amazing year. Year 6, you’ve been incredible!
