YR4 Kingfisher Class News @FP
Welcome back, Kingfishers @FP! After two weeks off, it’s lovely to see everyone back, refreshed and ready for another exciting half term. We have six busy weeks ahead before the next break, filled with lots of learning — and plenty of festive fun to look forward to!
We’ve been focusing on following our class rules and becoming more independent in our learning. The children are already showing great effort and maturity as they settle back into routines.
In maths, we’re working hard on our times tables. This is such an important skill, and we’d really appreciate your support in practising at home — a few minutes each day can make a big difference!
Our PE lessons have been extra fun as we’ve started cricket with our coach, Dan. The children are learning new techniques and working brilliantly as a team.
In English, we’re continuing to focus on developing our writing, using exciting vocabulary and improving the flow of our sentences. In History, we’re still exploring the fascinating world of the Vikings, while in Geography, we’re learning more about the River Thames and its importance to London.
There’s already a buzz of excitement in the air as we begin to think about all the Christmas activities coming up — it’s sure to be a wonderful end to our term together!
