Exploring Our Future Selves with AI!

This week in Duckling Class @FP, we’ve been using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help us imagine the exciting jobs we might like to do when we grow up!

As part of our learning around Understanding the World and Technology in the Early Years, the children have been exploring how computers can help us learn, create, and express ourselves. Using a child-friendly AI tool, the children shared their dream jobs — from astronauts and vets to footballers and bakers — and watched as the computer helped bring those ideas to life through pictures and descriptions.

This activity supported several areas of learning, including:

Communication and Language – sharing ideas and asking questions
Expressive Arts and Design – using imagination and creativity
Understanding the World – talking about the roles of people in our community and exploring technology
Personal, Social and Emotional Development – building confidence to talk about themselves and their aspirations

The children loved seeing themselves “in the future” and it sparked some wonderful conversations about growing up, helping others, and all the possibilities ahead.
