  • Numbers Day

    Fri 02 Feb 2024

Children @FP today have really enjoyed 'numbers day', they have all come to school, wearing numbers.  They have taken part in challenges such as: number hunt, where they have had to count up items and find certain numbers around the school.  As we speak they are in a celebration assembly - the best numbers hat will be chosen and the winner will have to dance down the middle of the audience to receive their prize from Mr Bond!  It has been lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and taking part in the number challenges.

This week in Dove class @FP we completed our own versions of an artist called Wassily Kandinsky.

We enjoyed looking at his abstract artwork and the colours and tones that he used as well as using the water colour palettes.

We have been learning about traditional tales and this week we read ‘The Ghanaian Goldilocks’ by Dr Tamara Pizzoli. We have been looking at features of traditional tales and next week are writing our own. Ask us about our ideas at home! We spoke about Ghana and where it was. We tried some traditional food from Ghana made by our lovely Mrs Abel.
